Various Wombs - November 25, 2020 - Sozo - Visions in Motion - Kassel, Germany
Various Wombs asks: How can an audience have a collective body while being in motion? The work takes the form of a walking pilgrimage, with the audience orbiting around the performance rather than remaining fixed in a single viewing position. This shifting perspective mirrors my interest in destabilizing conventional spatial and temporal hierarchies between performer and viewer.
The piece creates a shared temporal experience in which attention, proximity, and movement are continuously renegotiated. By inviting the audience into motion, the work proposes a relational field where perception becomes collective and embodied. Various Wombs reflects my broader inquiry into how containment, movement, and shared duration can generate new forms of attunement between bodies.
