Archive of Forgotten Vibration - Sozo, Visions in Motion - Kassel, Germany - May 28-29, 2021

Archive of Forgotten Vibrations is a multi-part project that uses duration and temporality to collectively activate what I think of as the relational somatic field. The work is concerned with creating an embodied archive—not of events or gestures, but of the energetic and affective space of body memory. It is an attempt to make visible how memory lives between bodies and across time, especially when that memory is fragmented or preverbal.

Part 1 consists of two simultaneous duets that generate a series of relational vignettes activated through repetition. These repeated interactions function as sites where subtle shifts accumulate, allowing the dancers to enter shared temporal states. Part 2 is a durational work structured by a cyclical score, with dancers working simultaneously within the score using either repetition or Authentic Movement. Together, the two parts create a layered temporal experience in which past, present, and emergent sensation coexist.

The work reflects my ongoing interest in trusting intuition as a radical act—allowing the body to move from internal necessity rather than external form—and in honoring the traumatized body as a site of intelligence, relation, and memory.
