Conceptually, I’m interested in understanding how a greater depth of felt experience can be achieved through the containment of repetition and practices focused on temporality. I find that in working consciously with time and the interplay between perception, as an internal manifestation of time, and matter, as the arena in which time manifests externally, I can find a threshold of experience that feels expansive. I work specifically with temporality through duration, cycles and repetition—these practices are guided by the idea that transformation insists upon itself, this takes the pressure off of the idea of a narrative arc and allows the work to function through its own continuity and narrative spaciousness.
